International Education – achieving Ireland’s potential
A recent report (May 2010) by Enterprise Ireland revealed international students are generating almost €430 million for the economy annually - but more must be done to capture a greater share of the market. The Guide to Education in Ireland 2010/2011, which will be distributed at international trade and education fairs, and through Irish embassies worldwide, will play a key role in achieving this growth. A free and interactive version of the Guide is also available online at www.irelandstudyguide.com.
Full Cooperation
The Guide to Education in Ireland 2010/2011 was compiled with the cooperation of major stakeholders in the international student market, including Enterprise Ireland, the Dept of Education and Science, and course providers. Content was also planned according to feedback from international students themselves, and surveys of their experiences in Ireland.
What’s in it?
The content of the Guide is prepared specifically for young international students, with an informative, easy-to-read and light hearted style throughout. Besides providing key information on all the core issues, such as student visas, accommodation, funding, certification, and the application process; the Guide also informs international students of the social, recreational and sporting opportunities, with plenty of information about Ireland’s top tourist destinations.
There are also several student profiles contained within the Guide, where international students from all over the world inform readers of their enjoyable and productive experiences in Ireland.
The Guide also contains detailed profiles of all universities and institutes of technology, as well as many other course providers: independent colleges, colleges of education, colleges of further education, and English language schools.
